Robert Weatherby
President
Mesa Logic Inc.

Dear prospective employer,
David Dempsey was employed as a 3D artist at Mesa Logic for over six years. During that time, his contribution as a 3D artist played an integral role in the development of several successful products. David's 3D art skills are fantastic, especially his modeling and texturing skills.
Unfortunately David left Mesa Logic due to a product cancellation. His entire team suffered from this setback. It will be someone's good fortune to potentially acquire him as a 3D artist. David is an extremely hard worker, and will do whatever it takes to get the job done. And even more importantly, he has the ability to step right in as a "team" player and cooperate fully to accomplish the team's goals. Combining his incredible attitude with his highly perfected 3D art skills renders David a valuable asset to any company.
Therefore I would highly recommend David as a 3D artist on any team. Please feel free to contact me at any time if you have questions.
Thank you,

Robert Weatherby

James M. Webb
3D Animator/Artist/Video

I’ve known David Dempsey for over 6 years. In that time David has become a good friend and reliable confidant. At work his abilities at modeling and texturing are truly unmatched. As a “fine artist”, his skills directly translate to achieve an extremely high level of realism. And though he began his career creating high-res models for “photo realistic” pre-rendered scenes, he seamlessly adapted the discipline of low-poly/LOD work that is predominant today. As a matter of speaking, David always delivers. He maintains constant integrity in his work and always follows through to the end. David is also a “team player”. He works well in a colaborative atmosphere, but can take the iniative to lead as well. He takes pride in his work and in doing so, often raises “the Bar” for those around him. David is dedicated and devoted to creating outstanding product and he has the skills to carry him through. David will make an exemplary member of any company he chooses to join.

David Mahaffey
Sr. Software Engineer

I had the opportunity to work with David during my time at Mesa Logic between 1996 and early 2000. Put simply, David is not only the best modeler I've ever worked with he is also the fastest. His work ethic is outstanding and his easy-going nature make him a pleasure to work with. David's cross-discipline skills in traditional art also add to his appeal as an artist that can see things from multiple vantage points and arrive at unique and interesting results. David's attention to detail in all aspects of his 3D work from realisitc modeling to incredible textures make his work come to life. David also takes direction and contructive criticism well, always attempting to incorperate my suggestions into his work to arrive at outcomes we could all be happy with and proud of. David always strives to create the absolute best work in whatever amount of time he is given. Being the fastest modeler I've ever seen, tends to allow him to create works in short order that surpass all expectations both in quality and appeal.

Without a doubt or reservations I would recommend David to any perspective employer looking for a highly motivated, extremely talented 3D artist.

If you would like to ask me more specific questions, please, feel free to contact me.

Sincerly,

David G. Mahaffey

3D Animator/Artist

David and I worked together at a company named Mesa Logic. Over the 5 years we worked together, David proved to be crucial part of the development team. Working for a small development house calls for special demands to be met. David is an extremely proficient 3d modeler and texture artist. He excels in both high and low poly models. His skills as a traditional artist are a tremendous asset and carry over to his working skill set. He has a great eye for detail in everything he creates. On top of all of this, David is fast, very fast. He is always ahead of schedule with any task he is given. He will work any amount of hour's needed to get the job done. David is also good at animating and sketching concepts.
David is a very loyal employee. He gets along with his coworkers and makes the environment fun. He takes pride in everything he does and it shows. He would be a great asset to any company that he works for.

Kenny Thompson
3D Animator/Game Designer

I have had the pleasure of working with David Dempsey over the last 3 years. Throughout this time he has been a valuable asset to our team. David Dempsey's ability to consistently produce on time art of the highest quality is only superseded by his dependability and high work ethic.
David's traditional artistic talent transfers directly to a capability to produce excellent textures, interface designs, and high-polygon models. Having worked with David on several projects makes it very easy for me to recommend him to any company looking for a highly skilled team oriented artist.
Sincerely,
Kenny Thompson

To whom it may concern,
Hard working, talented, inspirational, and especially fun to work with.

I am speaking of Dave Dempsey. It was his talent, skill, work ethic and personality that inspired me during the year I worked with him at Mesa Logic Inc.
is ability to create lush, immersive, intensely realistic environments is admirably only a fraction of his immense artistic range. Dave has a uniquely gifted eye for composition. Whether it's the paintings he creates in his spare time, or the digital work he provides for any game project, his creative vision and cleary honed artistic sensibility is not only an inspiration for anyone who works alongside him, but an asset to any employer.
Dave's inviting nature, team spirit, side-splitting wit, and his patience for instructing others are not only qualities to aspire to, but constant sources of team morale. I learned something important from working with Dave Dempsey, and I think everyone should have that opportunity.

To Whom It May Concern:

David worked under my supervision as an 3D artist for nearly two year. His responsibilities included building, texturing, and lighting game quality levels for next gen consoles, as well as creating 2D images for interface work. During the course of his employment, David proved himself to be an able employee, a hard worker, and a talented artist.

I was quite impressed by David’s ability to complete all work assigned to him on time, if not before it was due. Many times I would allow the artists to design the overall look and feel of the level, and time after time David came through on making sure not only was the level design good and of the highest quality, but also functionally correct. David can handle essentially any task presented to him.

Overall, David is a very conscientious and able artist. I certainly believe he has what it takes to make a wonderful artist for any team. I would work with David again if presented the chance, and thus must strongly recommend him for any artistic position he would apply for.
